South African music collective Digital Maskandi teams up with Mzukulu and Blxckie on “Too Much,” a cross-genre release that brings traditional Maskandi influences together with contemporary South African hip-hop.
Released on September 10, 2026, “Too Much” is the first release associated with the Digital Maskandi Vol. 1 project. The collaboration connects Mzukulu’s Maskandi-rooted style with Blxckie’s modern hip-hop approach, while Digital Maskandi provides the musical foundation for the record.
The song represents a meeting point between South Africa’s traditional musical heritage and newer urban sounds. “Too Much” gives listeners a distinctive collaboration built around the different styles of Digital Maskandi, Mzukulu and Blxckie.
