Baby S.O.N – Heartbreak & Logdrums

South African Amapiano artist Baby S.O.N presents his 2026 album “Heartbreak & Logdrums,” a 15-track project built around a wide range of collaborations and contemporary South African sounds.

Released on 16 September 2026 through L.O.V.E., the album has a total running time of approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes. Across its 15 tracks, Baby S.O.N works with artists and producers including Nanette, Yumbs, SLY, Kabza De Small, Mr Maker, MusicHlonza, Thuto The Human, Nvcho, Stixx, Carter IV, D’ Braz, Ch’cco, Khalil Harrison, Ceeka RSA, Nathaniel, DoouShii, Moholo, Miss Q, DJ Maphorisa, Xduppy, Tycoon, Kelvin Momo and Lloyd Lasoul.

The project explores a combination of emotional themes and Amapiano-oriented production. Its title, “Heartbreak & Logdrums,” brings together two ideas that help describe the character of the project: the emotional side of relationships and the log-drum-driven foundation associated with modern Amapiano.

The album opens with the title track “Heartbreak & Logdrums,” featuring Nanette, Yumbs and Luvvvstacy. It then moves through collaborations such as “Siza Wena” with SLY and Kabza De Small, “L.O.V.E. BACK” with Mr Maker, Yumbs and MusicHlonza, and “Phone Yam” with Nvcho and Stixx.

The middle section of the album includes “Amantombazane,” “Ch’cco’s Heart,” “Soft Life,” “Nguwe” and “About You!”, bringing together different combinations of vocalists, producers and collaborators.

The final part of the project continues with “Q’s Interlude,” “Dlala Ngami (It’s Too Late),” “Ngixolele,” “WHY WHY WHY” and “Mzala (Joh!).” This gives the album a broad collaborative structure while keeping Baby S.O.N at the centre of the project.
